An Accident has occurred in between Gibson and Messina Drive in southwest Albuquerque, where a school bus rollover collision, has landed 9 children in the hospital. Officers are currently investigating the case, to know what caused the crash.
Officers explained that a white Mustang collided with a school bus carrying 23 pupils, from George I. Sánchez Collaborative Community School, according to Albuquerque Public Schools. 9 children, as well as the bus driver and Mustang, were sent to the hospital, though the injuries are not life-threatening.
The school principal is on the scene, according to police, and is calling the youngsters’ parents. To pick up their children, the parents must meet with the principal just west of Messina and Gibson. APS officials say there aren’t enough buses for Thursday, so parents should plan appropriately.
There has been no news of how the children are faring yet as investigations are still on.
