Wildlife officials from the state as well as the federal government are looking for information regarding a grizzly bear that was killed by human intervention close to Noxon in Sanders County.
The bear was discovered dead on May 24 in the South Fork of the Bull River region near Berray Mountain off Forest Road 2272 (Berray Mountain Road), according to game wardens with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and authorities with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
After conducting an investigation at the area, officials charged with the conservation of wildlife found evidence of gunshot wounds on the bear and established that it had been put down on the evening of May 16. The adult male grizzly bear was collared for the purposes of research, and there is no record of any previous disputes between the two parties.
It was determined that there was no additional information available.

Does someone claim responsibility for this cat? The town of Thompson Falls, close to the Baptist church located off Main Street. It appears that she or he has been visiting my home in order to eat with my cat. It seems that she injured her leg last night or this morning. She refuses to let me touch her.
