San Pedro Shooting Today – On Saturday, March 4th, 2023, a shooting occurred in San Pedro, which resulted in the hospitalization of four persons. The authorities are currently investigating the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department reports that the incident took place at approximately 5:45 p.m. close to the intersection of Paseo Del Mar and Graysby Avenue. According to reports, the incident took place outside, and as a result, four persons were injured by gunfire.
Although none of the victims have been positively identified, it is believed that they are all males between the ages of 51 and 45, 28 and 15, respectively. According to information provided by the Los Angeles Fire Department, two of the victims are in critical condition, one is in moderate condition, and the other victim is in fair condition.
The suspect is a male who is in his 20s, stands approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds, according to the police description. According to police authorities on Monday, four persons have been detained in connection with an earlier 2022 shooting at a San Pedro park that left two people dead and several others injured. After a shooting broke out in Peck Park on July 24, Tashman Williams, 31, of Compton, and Carlyle Phillips, 29, of Cypress, were slain. The event, which happened when hundreds of people were taking part in a car display and a weekly softball game intended to promote peace at the park, also resulted in the injuries of six additional persons.
Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department had earlier stated that two individuals got into a physical argument before deciding to meet in the park to resolve it. According to the LAPD source, four people were detained and booked last week on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting: Raynard French, 56, Travion McCraw, 31, Antoine Newsome, 41, and Kenyon Siler, 48, were detained in Carson, Gardena, Lake Elsinore, and Long Beach, respectively.
The arrests were made with the help of FBI SWAT personnel as well as members of the LAPD’s elite Robbery-Homicide division, gang and drug division, metropolitan division, and south bureau homicide division. The suspects’ roles in the shooting have not been further discussed by the authorities.
