Samuel Bell death – Samuel Bell, 44 years old, was identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a car on Thursday afternoon in River West, according to a representative for the county. According to report, Bell was riding an electric bicycle at the time of the accident. The Chicago Fire Department has confirmed that a man in his forties was struck near the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Morgan Street in the River West neighbourhood.
The man was a motorcyclist, and the department described him as being in serious to critical condition when he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. According to Klein, Bell was the youngest of a number of siblings that hailed from Galesburg and currently resided in West Town. He praised Bell by saying that she was “such a positive person.
He had a very lively and welcoming personality. No matter what else was going on in his life, he made time for you. In fact, he was meant to pick me up from the hospital the following Monday after I had a procedure. He would go to great lengths to help one of his close friends.
Kevin Klein, who became friends with Bell many years ago while they were both helping at a non profit organization in Chicago, described Bell as “such a wonderful friend and such a good person.” He risked everything in order to make the world a better place, but unfortunately, he is no longer here to do so.
According to the Chicago Police Department, a ticket was issued to the driver for failing to give the right of way when making a left turn. According to Ashley Huerta, she was riding her bike northbound in the bike lane on Milwaukee Avenue when she heard the collision and instantly turned around.
According to Huerta, the rider was hit by a southbound car turning left and collapsed onto his bike, “without responding in any manner.” She dialled 911, then dialled it again when the man stopped breathing for a while.
