Murder Case: Sabita Thanwani, a student, was discovered with neck injuries in the halls of residence in Clerkenwell’s Sebastian Street.

Thanwani, a 19-year-old woman found dead in a student flat in central London, has been identified as the subject of an investigation into her death. Police are looking for a man in connection with her death.

At around 05:10 GMT on Saturday, police and medics arrived at Arbour House, but she died on the spot.

Detectives are looking for Maher Maaroufe, a 22-year-old man who is believed to have been in a relationship with Ms Thanwani.

Early indications suggested Ms Thanwani, a City University of London student, was with Mr Maaroufe on Friday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police.
