Ryan Wagner Death – A teenager and POLYTECH High School student passed away in deadly single vehicle crash Monday. According to The Delaware State Police, investigations area ongoing following a single-car crash that left one person dead Monday, June 19, 2023. Ryan Wagner died in the crash that happened in the Dover area. “On June 19, 2023, at approximately 3:56 a.m., a 2015 GMC Acadia was traveling northbound on Bayside Drive approaching a slight right curve, south of Leipsic Road, at an apparent high rate of speed.”
The driver lost control of the car for an unexplained reason, causing it to veer across the solid double yellow centerlines and off the west (left) edge of the road. The Acadia went up an embankment parallel to the road for about 150 feet until it crashed into a tree. The Acadia swung counterclockwise after hitting the tree, flipped onto the right (passenger) side, and caught fire. It is yet to be determined who was behind the wheel of the Acadia when it crashed.
Neither the car nor any other vehicles were carrying any passengers at the time of the crash. Approximately four hours were lost while the situation was being investigated and cleared on Bayside Drive.
