Who was Ruston Baker?
Claude Ruston Baker was born in Millersburg, Ohio on May 8th, 1958. He graduated from West Holmes High School in 1978 and attended Ohio State University. He was a long-time partner to Claudia Rozuk, with whom he traveled the globe from Peru to Kathmandu. Rusty was a loving and caring father to his children Molly Baker, Rebbie Hill, and Andrew Baker.
Rusty delighted in exploring the world and creating murals in communities around the Ohio River. He accumulated guitars and other instruments, and he enjoyed playing them all. He also cherished family history, watching sports, and playing golf. He was a unique individual who combined a strong sense of what was essential with an enthusiasm for life. As a muralist, photographer, singer, and globetrotter, Rusty had great skill. He made the most of every moment.
Nobody else is quite like him. Even though those who loved him will mourn him dearly, everyone he touched has been touched by his spirit. Though deeply missed, he will be remembered with a much greater affection. He enjoyed being around his family and friends and was always up for a good time.
