Rockwood TN Accident – One person died and two others were hurt in Rockwood, Tennessee, after parents said that strong winds tore the dugout roof off the Brillo Miller Sports Complex early on Saturday, April 1, 2023. The incident was claimed to have taken place during the opening ceremonies for a kid’s baseball and softball season, according to Tiffany Brown, a mom who participates in softball and a witness. “Kids were screaming, people were screaming. It was just crazy,” Brown said.
According to Rockwood Police Chief Kelly Pittman, a woman was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Pittman was unable to verify whether or not the fatality was connected to the incident. “Imagine going to a game and then somebody’s not coming home,” Brown said. “And it seemed like it took forever for the ambulance to get there.” Thoughts and prayers are with those individuals and their families, Pittman said in a statement.
