On Thursday, February 24, 2022, a man was murdered when his compact SUV went off the Gene Snyder Freeway, crossed a guardrail, and flipped. Authorities were called to the scene where they started investigation on what caused the accident.
Information gathered revealed that the accident happened around 8 a.m. near the New Cut Road entry ramp, according to Louisville Metro police. The driver of a small SUV, Robert William Ratliff, 53, of Louisville, was driving westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guardrail.

The truck overturned before coming to a stop in the area between the entry ramp and the Snyder Freeway, leading to Ratliff’s death due of blunt force injuries at the site.
