Robert Oliver Death – Officer Robert Oliver has passed away suddenly. He was pronounced dead at University of Louisville Hospital on Wednesday, the 29th of March 2023. According to reports, Officer Robert had sustained injuries from a motorcycle crash several weeks ago. The news of his death has left his family and loved ones sad and devastated. A procession of officers took his body from Louisville to a Jeffersonville funeral home Wednesday night.
Louisville Police Pipes and Drums mourned his death in a social media post: “The Louisville Metro Police Department and the City of Louisville lost a great man and public servant today. Officer Robert Oliver was the epitome of professionalism and compassion. He was a member of the Honor Guard and honored the fallen with class and dignity.”
Who was Robert Oliver?
Robert Oliver was an Officer with the The Louisville Metro Police Department. He devotedly served in the department for 18 years after serving in the Jeffersonville Police Department. Oliver was responsible for signs around the city for “Lock, Take, Hide,” a program he started in 2019 to help reduce car break-ins. He was known as a prime example of professionalism and took pride in his profession. Oliver was a military veteran and an instructor for the Louisville Police Honor Guard.
