Robert Mccabe Obituary, Death : My Bob has found peace and is no longer in pain after a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Robert P. “Bob” McCabe was born August 22, 1952 in Chicago to Robert and Jean (nee Rausch) McCabe.
Robert Mccabe died February 5, 2015 at Midwest Hospice Care at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Bob’s greatest sorrow was not being around to see his grandkids grow up, who fondly called him “Boom Boom Bob”.
Robert is survived by his wife Pat (nee Geske) McCabe; his children Mike (Angie) McCabe and Brian (Josie) McCabe; his grandchildren Delaney, Kian, Kylie and Donovan; his mother Jean and her husband Richard Lyons; his sister Shelia McCabe; his stepsiblings Marian Alvarado, Pat (Linda) Lyons and Katie Lyons and their families; his nieces and nephews; his dear friend Tim and by his “comfort dog” Buddy.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Robert McCabe and by his mother-in-law Barb Geske.
Visitation Monday, February 9, 2015 from 3:00 PM until time of service 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Interment private.
