Robert ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel Death – Following the motorcycle crash that happened on Thursday morning, June 15, 2023, 50-year-old Robert ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel was pronounced dead. He passed away after motorcycle accident on Thursday involving semi-tractor. the collision happened on 200 block of North Northwest Highway at approximately 1:11 in the morning. The police confirmed him dead at the scene of the fatal accident on Northwest Highway.

Palatine motorcycle accident

Palatine Fire Department were at the scene of the crash that resulted in the death of 50-year-old Robert ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel on Thursday morning. It was confirmed by many of his friends and family members on Facebook that Rummel passed away in the crash. Initial reports indicate that the semi-tractor trailer combination was making its way out of a private drive in a southbound direction when it collided with the motorcycle, ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel who was heading in a northbound direction on Northwest Highway at the time of the fatal motorcycle crash.

Leslie Geiser posted that “this incredibly sweet loving teddybear of a man ‘CrazyHorse’ from Madcats in Palatine was killed while riding his motorcycle early this morning. My heart is broken. Who knew that last week would be the final time I would have the pleasure of seeing him? My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and loved him! I’m in shock and grief stricken.”

After the arrival of the Palatine Fire Department, it was determined that the man had already passed away. Additional inquiries into the collision were requested to be conducted by the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Unit of the Major Case Assistance Team. Additionally dispatched to the scene was a unit from the Illinois State Police who conducted a check of the semi.

It took many hours to reopen Northwest Highway between North Hicks Road and East Hicks Place after it had been closed earlier following the crash that resulted in the death of 50-year-old Robert ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel involving semi-tractor. Roads started to reopen at about 7:30 in the morning. Condolences are been sent to the family members of ‘Crazyhorse’ Rummel after his death in the crash.
