Zoleka Mandela Death – Zoleka Mandela, a South African writer, activist, and Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter has passed away tragically. Zoleka Mandela was announced dead on Monday evening, the 25th of September 2023 surrounded by friends and family. According to the report, Zoleka was admitted to a hospital on 18 September for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain, and spinal cord. She died at the age of 43.

Zoleka Mandela’s cause of death
Zoleka Mandela passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In 2011, she received treatment for breast cancer, which recurred in 2016. Zoleka has utilized social media to describe the removed tumor and chemotherapy-related side effects.
Personal Life
Zoleka Mandela was born in 1980 to Zindzi Mandela and her first husband, Zwelebanzi Hlongwane. The Mandelas, her mother’s family, are direct descendants of King Madiba of the Thembu people and serve as chieftains of their ancestral chiefdom, Mvezo.

Zoleka has spoken about childhood sexual abuse. She was also a drug and alcohol addict for a time. Zenani Mandela, the 13-year-old daughter of Zoleka Mandela, was killed in a car accident on the way home from a concert in 2010. The accident was allegedly caused by drugs, and Zoleka Mandela was recovering from a suicide attempt at the time. In 2013, Mandela published her autobiography.
Career
She was selected as one of the BBC’s “100 Women” in 2016. She noted that her greatest regret was that she felt she had only accomplished worthwhile things after her grandfather’s passing, and not while he was still alive. She campaigned against road accident deaths, pointing out that children in sub-Saharan Africa are twice as likely to die in car accidents as children in other countries.
