Ricky Payne Death – Ricky Payne of Kentucky passed away on Tuesday night in a motorcycle accident. He was 40 years old. On Highway 66, the collision occurred at the 87-mile marker. Payne was riding his motorbike east when he reportedly crossed the center line, went off the road, and collided with an embankment, according to Sheriff Malone. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, Oregon State Police and emergency services responded to a deadly collision involving a car and a motorbike. Today about midday, ODOT made the announcement that Highway 66 was closed for 2.5 miles east of Ashland. Early OSP investigation revealed that Taylor Emily Cranfield, 25, of Seattle, WA, was driving an eastbound Chevy Equinox and turning left into a driveway close to the top of a hill. Madrik Pergin Heatherstone, 36, of Ashland was riding a Yamaha FSZ motorbike when it collided with the right front of the Chevy while it was going west.
According to OSP, “speed is being investigated as a contributing factor.” Heatherstone was declared dead after suffering fatal injuries. Cranfield escaped unharmed. Road 66 was blocked. The closure of Hwy 66 lasted for around two hours. ODOT and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office provided support to OSP.
