The Sheffield resident was confirmed dead on Wednesday, July 26 after a social media publication was released announcing that he tragically died. Richard was a devoted member to the New England Patriot family who will dearly miss his presence and also his bright smile and witty jokes.
According to sources, Richard was cowardly assaulted but the details of the incident have not been fully disclosed. While the details are yet to be confirmed, many have not hesitated to share their heartfelt condolences with the family and loved ones of Richard as they mourn his tragic death. He will always be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and meeting him during the course of his life.

Richard Wheeler was a Warehouse Operative at Advanced Supply Chain. He was a Quality Controller at Safestyle Manufacturing and Logistics. He was a warehouse and machine operative at Joseph pickering and sons. Richard worked at Manitowoc Food Service Group. He was a Former Stock Handler at XPO. He worked at Norbert Dentressangle and also at B. Braun. He formerly worked as a Dispatch operative at Instant print.
He also worked at Chilled Foods at Company Shop. Richard also studied at Ecclesfield School. He attended Ecclesfield High comp. Richard was a native and resident of Sheffield. He was married to loving wife, Tracy Wheeler. A friend described Richard as “a true gent a proper down to earth man.”
It is with a heavy heart that our New England Patriot family that travel together yearly have been notified that our very good friend Richard Wheeler from across the pond has passed away. A truly great and giving man that always had a smile and a witty joke. Tracy our love for you will be there always and may God hold you tightly during these very tough times.
