Richard Rosenberg Educational Background
Richard received his Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University and his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University, both in San Francisco. Before his retirement, Richard Rosenberg was the chairman and chief executive officer of Bank of America. During Richard’s time as CEO, Bank of America’s assets and net income more than doubled, elevating it to the position of second largest bank in the United States.
He became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1990 and served in that capacity until 1996. Richard worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 22 years, rising through the ranks to become Vice Chairman and Director in his final years there before joining Bank of America in 1987.
Richard Rosenberg Career
Richard was a former chairman of MasterCard International, a member of the California Bar Association, a former president of The Bankers Roundtable, the Bank Marketing Association, and the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve, and a retired captain in the United States Naval Reserve. Richard also serves on the Board of Trustees at Caltech at the present time. As if that weren’t enough, he also sits on the boards of directors for the San Francisco Symphony, the Buck Institute for Age Research, Health Care Property, Inc., the Naval War College Foundation, and the San Francisco Symphony.
He also chairs the University of California San Francisco Foundation and is on the Executive Council of the University of California Medical Center. Before joining Exigen Group, he served as Chairman of the Board at ABX Air, Director at Airborne Express Corporation, Director at SBC Communications, Director at UCSF-Stanford Health Care, Director at Chronicle Publishing Company, Director at Northrup Grumman Corporation, Director at Pacific Life Insurance Company, Director at Premier Pacific Vineyards, and Director at Exigen Group.
