Have you ever wondered what Richard Nixon’s net worth was before his death? Nixon’s overall net worth was believed to be $15 million, according to reports, an amount he amassed via his generally successful political career.

After his family ranch went bankrupt in 1922, Richard grew up in Whittier. He had four brothers and sisters, but one of them died when he was seven years old. His mother was a Quaker, and his father subsequently became a Quaker as well. As a result, Nixon was also raised as a Quaker, which meant he had to refrain from drinking, cussing, and dancing.

Nixon attended Fullerton High School for a short time before transferring to Whittier High School for his studies. He ran for president of his class during his time there, but was defeated by a more popular student. He received a full scholarship to Harvard University after graduating from high school as the second best in his class, but his parents could not afford the trip expenses. Nixon subsequently enrolled at Whittier College, where he gained a reputation as a successful debater and participated in a variety of sports throughout his time there.

Richard was granted a scholarship to Duke University Law School in Durham after graduating from Whittier, which he accepted, and after graduation, he obtained a job at Kroop & Bewley in his hometown of Whittier. He was dissatisfied with his position, so he left his hometown in 1942 and relocated to Washington, D.C., where he worked for Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Office of Price Administration. Nixon quickly became dissatisfied with the totalitarian dictatorship and left to join the US military as an aviation ground officer, though he never saw action despite earning two service stars and other commendations. Before leaving the service in 1946, Nixon rose to the rank of lieutenant commander.

Richard ran for Congress after returning from the US Navy, after being approached by a group of Whittier Republicans. Nixon eventually gained a seat in the US Congress, which significantly enhanced his personal wealth. Nixon was elected to the United States Senate in 1950, defeating Democrat Helen Gahagan Douglas. During the campaign, Nixon received the moniker Tricky Dick, which he would keep for the rest of his political career. His net worth was rising steadily.

His next achievement was a position in Dwight Eisenhower’s administration as vice president from 1953 to 1961, which enhanced his net worth much more. Nixon ran for President for the first time in 1960, but lost to Democrat nominee John F. Kennedy. Nixon anticipated his five minutes of glory when he was sworn in as the 37th President of the United States on January 20, 1969. However, his rule was short-lived, despite the fact that his net worth climbed dramatically during that time. After the Watergate crisis in 1972, Nixon was forced to resign from office. On the 8th of September 1974, Nixon was pardoned by the man who had been his vice president, President Gerald Ford.

Richard Nixon left politics after his resignation and began writing his memoirs, which were released six years later under the title “RN: The Memoirs of Richard Nixon.” He continued to write novels after his retirement, producing a total of nine, and he also traveled across the world.
