Richard Condon Obituary, Former Landmark Forum Leader Has Passed Away: On May 13, 2024, Richard Gerety Condon, a cherished former Landmark Forum Leader, departed in peace.
Richard’s life was a fascinating voyage of discovery, creativity, contribution, and transformation. He was born in Chicago on November 5, 1948. He directly led programs, taught and developed Forum Leaders and other program leaders, and made a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide throughout his time as a senior faculty member.
Richard’s love of life and compassion for people was evident in everything he did, from his early years as a rising drummer in the late 1960s and early 1970s music scene to his more than 20 years as a senior faculty member at Landmark. Richard was well-known for his keen sense of humor, unending generosity, and capacity to see the best in any circumstance. His entrepreneurial zeal, which he shared with his twin brother Michael to co-found numerous enterprises, including Seattle’s first vegan restaurant, is another aspect of his legacy.
Richard also underwent a spiritual journey, constantly aiming to lead a life that was brave, honest, and true. Along with his brother, Richard wrote “The Way Out,” a moving meditation on life, pain, and the sublime quality of the human spirit. Something fundamental and lovely about the way Richard spent his life is captured in this straightforward piece of art.
