Rhyan Davis Cause Of Death, Obituary Unavailable Yet – Rhyan Coley Davis, 37, of Gainsville, was killed in a crash following a police chase in White County on Saturday, according to the Georgia State Patrol. During the chase on State Route 17 north of Helen, troopers say Davis collided with another car head-on. The other driver was critically hurt in the collision.
According to nowhabersham.com, GSP, the incident started when Trooper First Class Matheson initiated a traffic stop on State Route 348 near Lone Piper Road in Union County for speeding. “As TFC Matheson tried to catch up to the two vehicles with his emergency lights and sirens engaged, both vehicles failed to stop, resulting in a chase,” says Sgt. B.D. Taylor of Blue Ridge’s Patrol Post 27.
Davis was behind the wheel of a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer. A 2015 Dodge Challenger was the other vehicle. According to Taylor, both vehicles fled southeast on SR 348 into White County. Both vehicles turned northbound when they reached SR 75 Alt. The Dodge Challenger headed south while the Mitsubishi Lancer turned north at the crossroads of Highway 75 Alt and Highway 17.
