After being struck by a vehicle in Henderson on Monday night, a teen boy died. According to a news release from the Henderson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Paradise Hills Drive at 5:18 p.m. after a report of a crash.
According to authorities, a driver “lost control of their vehicle, off the lane onto the sidewalk.” The automobile, a black coupe, collided with a young boy, who died at the spot. Rex Patchett, 13, of Henderson, was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
According to authorities, speed was an issue, but impairment was not. There was no more information available at the time.
For several hours, Paradise Hills Drive was closed in both directions while police investigated.
