Rebecca Rose Jarvis Obituary, Burial, Funeral Plans
Rebecca Rose Jarvis, 68, of Indianola entered the gates of heaven Sunday, April 24th, 2022. There will be a Celebration of Life service in her honor on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service and after the service.
Becky was born September 14th, 1953 in Des Moines, IA to Jack & Irene Fisher. She completed their family. In the fall of 1971, Becky met the love of her life, Rick. They were united in marriage on December 15th, 1972 at Sunshine Open Bible Tabernacle. Becky & Rick would have celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss this coming December.
Becky was a loving mother to her amazing children. Stacy (Randy) Crossman, Amy (Jared) Wertenberger, Adam (Mandie) Jarvis, Tiffany (Joseph) Bisignano. Her greatest pride & joy were her grandkids and great-granddaughters. Brandon & Jacob Crossman, Hunter & Makaylie Wertenberger, Layla, Stella, Jonah & Bear Jarvis, Harper & Ava Bisignano. Becky is also survived by her siblings, John (Donna) Fisher, Janice (Don) Walker, Betty (Joe) Daniels, and many nieces and nephews.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Irene Fisher, and sister-in-law, Alice Fisher. Becky was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She lived her life for her family and prayed for each of them daily. Her faith in Christ shone through her on a daily basis in everything she did. She had a heart for youth, from her days as a youth leader, taking teens on mission trips to her latest passion, working with at risk youth at Wildwood Hills Ranch.
Becky loved to travel, have family time, plant flowers, and sew. Over the years she sewed Easter & Christmas outfits, sundresses, dedication gowns, MANY flower girl dresses, baby blankets, and even her own wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses.
Becky is going to be missed by so many family and friends but she would want us to know that she is resting in the arms of her Jesus. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Open Bible-Des Moines or Wildwood Hills Ranch. The family would like to thank all of Becky’s doctors these past months and especially Unity Point Hospice.
