Murder-suicide in Virginia Beach – According to the local police in Virginia Beach, Virginia, a guy shot and killed his sister, her boyfriend, and then himself before turning the gun on himself. Rebecca Ericson, 42, Stephen Ericson, 39, and Jon Lafave, 38, were the three people who were declared dead by the police on Tuesday. Initially, the police did not release their names out of respect for the families, but on Tuesday, they confirmed their identities.
Rebecca Ericson’s cause of death
On the evening of Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at around twelve thirty in the morning, the Virginia Beach Emergency Communications & Citizen Services (ECCS) dispatch center got a call regarding many victims with gunshot wounds at a residence located in the 3700 block of Gateway Place. After arriving on the scene, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department discovered a woman, two males, and another woman who had been shot and were all suffering from their wounds.
One of the men was taken to the hospital, but he was unable to recover from his injuries and passed away there. At the site, it was determined that the other man and the woman had both passed away. Homicide detectives of the VBPD have the theory that the man who passed away at the hospital was the shooter who also shot the other two victims before turning the gun on himself. The Virginia Beach Police Department is not actively searching for a suspect at this time; nevertheless, they have stated that this investigation is still ongoing.
