In the incident that took place in the 5600 block of Medicus Lane around 9:15 p.m., Raymund Alexander Graham, 29, from Hope Mills, was hit by gunfire and later died from his injuries. The Homicide Unit has not yet completed their investigation into the events leading up to the incident. After that, there was no further information provided. A man from Fayetteville who had been shot on Friday evening in Cumberland County is said to have passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained as a result of the shooting. According to the deputies that arrived to the area, at approximately 10:42 p.m., a shooting was reported to have occurred in the 3500 block of Town Street close to Fayetteville and Hope Mills. They stated that they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Throughout the evening on Saturday, deputies were able to positively identify the victim as Lowell Anderson, who was 58 years old.
A section of what seemed to be crime scene tape had been used to cordon off a parking lot at an apartment complex. The deputies have stated that the investigation into the events that led up to the incident would continue. They want to make any extra information that they obtain accessible as soon as they get their hands on it.
