Randi Gerlach Obituary, Death : Randi Elizabeth Gerlach, age 20, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2022 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (1800 S Katie Ave, Suite 1, Sioux Falls, SD).
A wake will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home – Southside Chapel (7400 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD). To respect the family’s privacy and mourning, it is asked that attendees do not arrive until the visitation is open to the public at 5:00 pm.

Friends and family gathered on the pitcher’s mound at the Dunham Park baseball field to release multi-colored, star-shaped balloons and light candles in memory of 20-year-old Randi Gerlach after authorities found her body in a Lincoln County home Tuesday.
“Everywhere she went, it was just spice, like her attitude, it was spicy,” said Mackenzie Madsen, 18.
Others described her spice as being blunt.
“She’s very blunt and she will say what’s on her mind but it’s like the good thing about her,” said Breanna Rieger, 19.
As the parking lot filled up, a crowd of more than 50 people made their way to the baseball field in the dark. Candles and lighters were passed around and as the balloons were released into the chilly evening air, someone yelled “this is for you Randi.”
