Death: In Jefferson County, a man from Watertown died after his milk truck rolled into a ditch
According to deputies, a Watertown man died after the milk truck he was driving flipped over and plunged into a ditch in Jefferson County. According to a news release published Wednesday by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the single-vehicle accident occurred around 12:20 p.m. on state route 26 between NY-37 and Baker Road in the town of Theresa.
According to syracuse.com, The wrecked truck was discovered in the ditch near NY-26’s northern shoulder by deputies. Randall “Bill” Rink, 49, the truck’s driver, was stuck in the cab and had to be extricated. According to authorities, he was the only one in the vehicle.
Rink died as a result of his injuries sustained in the incident, according to deputies. According to deputies, a witness to the incident told authorities that no other vehicles were involved. Responding fire crews were able to contain a little leak from the truck’s tank.
