Race Johannessohn Death – Race Johannessohn, the former Hibbing Raceway Pure Stock competitor has tragically passed away, according to reports. Race Johannessohn, a resident of Clarksville, Tennessee was announced dead today, Monday, the 25th of September 2023. He died yesterday morning. Thoughts and prayers to the Johannesssohn family as well as many of Race’s friends. There was no cause of death reported for Race Johannessohn at the time of this publication.

Hibbing Raceway released a statement regarding the passing of Race Johannessohn:

“We ask of our prayer warriors to keep the family of Race Johannessohn, who tragically passed away, in your thoughts and prayers. Race was a former Hibbing Raceway Pure Stock competitor, following in the footsteps of his father, Thad Johannessohn, who competed many seasons at Hibbing Raceway.”

Who was Race Johannessohn?

Race Johannessohn was born in Hibbing, Minnesota and he lived in Clarksville, Tennessee. He graduated from Hibbing Senior High School. Race was the Franchise Owner/Operator at Social Indoor of Clarksville and Middle TN. He was more than a former Hibbing Raceway Pure Stock competitor; he embodied a racing legacy passed down by his father, Thad Johannessohn, a revered figure in the Hibbing Raceway community.

Racing was in his blood, and the racetrack was a sacred place where his family’s passion for speed converged. He paid tribute to his father’s legacy every time he hit the track.
