Quran Sims Death – Quran Sims, a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a 2015 graduate of Strong Vincent High School passed away tragically on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. He was 26 years old at the time of his death. He was confirmed dead on Saturday through a social media publication that read “Damn, bro, hate seeing this shit happen and it hurts so much more when it’s one of your people. Rest easy sticks, I’ll always remember Those bay City days bro.”
What was Quran Sims’ cause of death?
According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, Quran Sims, a 26-year-old man from Erie, was killed at a residence in the 2900 block of French Street early Saturday morning, June 3rd, 2023. Cook stated that Sims died from multiple gunshot wounds and that his death has been classified as a homicide. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and Erie police are currently reviewing video footage and conducting interviews with witnesses.
As of Monday afternoon, there have been no arrests made. The crime scene has been cordoned off and police are canvassing the neighborhood for any additional information. The shooting occurred just south of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy, and many cars drove past the scene on Monday morning as students were being dropped off at school. Sims’ death marks the seventh homicide in Erie this year, with five homicides happening in 2022.
