According to Lopez, the money raised through this effort will go to the family to help with the funeral expenses. The page “Supporting the Family of Quinn Nelson” has raised $27,019 USD of the $40,000 goal. “At this time I am raising funds to assist with the medical and funeral expenses and anything else this family may need during this very difficult time.”

The Memphis Police Department is looking into a fatal accident that occurred near an expressway early Saturday morning that involved a pedestrian. At about five in the morning on Saturday, police officers rushed to the scene of the collision. It took place on I-240 eastbound right before the ramp to I-40.
According to the investigators, there were three automobiles involved in the collision, and a pedestrian was injured. At the scene, there was one fatality. The police did not specify if the individual in question was a pedestrian or a passenger in one of the automobiles. The investigators have not said whether or not anyone will be charged with a crime.
