Precious Amber-Jade Gourlay Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet available – After her precious 19-month-old daughter went away in her arms, a Blairgowrie mother paid a heartfelt tribute to her. Amber-Jade Gourlay, who was crippled and had serious growth difficulties after being born prematurely at 25 weeks, died quietly at home just days after doctors informed her parents that her little body was failing.
According to dailyrecord.co.uk, “She went quietly in mummy’s arms at home on Friday [May 6] morning,” Kayleigh added. “Our little mermaid can now swim freely in the sea.” Our universe will always include you.”
Due to her relatively early arrival at Ninewells Hospital on October 25, 2020, doctors classified Amber-Jade with ‘failure to thrive,’ meaning her rate of weight increase was much lower than that of other youngsters.
She spent the majority of her life in a hospital, unable to move from the waist down, having heart and lung problems, and being sight-impaired. Amber-Jade weighed less than 7 pounds and was fed by an IV (total parenteral nutrition, or TPN) and a nasogastric (NG) tube that fed her food through her nose and into her stomach.
