Police investigate gunshots and a body behind a convenience store

Late Monday, police in Davenport were called to shooting scene, where they found a man lying dead behind the GDXpress, 4607 N. Pine St., Davenport. The fatality of the shooting was determined by the body found.

Around 9:45 p.m., Davenport Police responded to a complaint of gunshots between Cheyenne Avenue and Pine Streets. The police brought with them atleast seven police vehicles in the neighborhood, as they investigated the case.

On the site, which was encircled by crime-scene tape, was a Crime Scene Unit truck and a crime scene tech.

There has not been news of a suspect being caught yet though police a seriously investigating the case.
