Death: Millionaire Barbeques Galore founder killed helicopter crashed – Peter Woodland, the proprietor of Barbeques Galore, was the pilot of the four-seater helicopter that crashed near the Snowy Mountains, killing two people. Mr. Woodland, 75, and his wife, 64, were killed late Monday night about 200 meters east of the NSW Snowy Mountains.
According to dailymail.co.uk, After a request from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority rescue center, emergency personnel was dispatched to Kiandra Flats around 11.55 p.m. on Monday. Chief commissioner Angus Mitchell of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau said the last moments of the helicopter’s voyage were still being pieced together.
‘We’re still piecing together the last movements and indeed the past day or so of this helicopter,’ said Angus Mitchell, chief commissioner of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. ‘We do know it was in the air on Sunday, most likely with a group of other helicopters.’
