PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich~ On Memorial Day, a young man was bicycling when he was struck by a Buick Enclave, as stated by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The teen was taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
Deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the intersection of Grove Avenue and Elmer Street, which is located south of Lake Macatawa, on Monday, May 29, at around five o’clock in the afternoon, after receiving reports of a collision involving a car and a bicycle there. The Enclave, which was being driven by a young girl from Holland who was just 18 years old at the time of the accident, had just gone through the intersection when it collided with a bicycle that was being ridden south on Grove by a young kid from the Holland region who was only 13 years old.
The 13-year-old patient was rushed to Holland Hospital by AMR Ambulance. Once she arrived at Holland Hospital, she was transferred to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. At this moment, further investigation of the event is still being carried out. The young man, who was 18 years old at the time, did not sustain any injuries.

After being involved in a collision early on Saturday morning, a guy in his twenties from West Olive was pronounced deceased at the scene. As a result of the accident, traffic on northbound US 31 at New Holland Street was stopped for a number of hours.
