Orlando L. Watkins Death – Officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene. The victim was an adult male. On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at approximately 11:34 PM, police assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a call to check on the well-being of a person who resides at 940 Parker Street, Jamaica Plain. On the scene, the victim was identified as Orlando L. Watkins, 44, who resided in Dorchester. He was pronounced dead. The Boston Police Department is now conducting an investigation into the events leading up to this incident and the facts and circumstances surrounding it. Anybody who may have information is requested to get in touch with the Homicide Detectives of the Boston Police Department at (617) 343-4470.

Following the discovery of a gunshot victim on Parker Street early on Wednesday, Springfield police are looking into St. James Avenue. Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police Department, reported that officers were summoned to the 200 block of St. James Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation at around 10:45 a.m. Police discovered evidence but no victims or damage to the premises. Around 11:05 a.m., a man in his 20s was discovered on the 0-100 block of Parker Street with gunshot wounds. After being transported to Baystate Medical Center, he is anticipated to recover. According to Walsh, the victim was involved in the St. James Avenue incident.
