According to the Syracuse Police Department, the identity of the adult male who was shot and killed on Monday evening in Onondaga Park has been revealed by the police. Malik Sharif Shipman, 19, from Fairburn, Georgia, was shot in the middle on July 4 at 11:14 p.m., according to Lieutenant Matthew Malinowski, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department.
According to the Syracuse Police Department, the incident took place in the 300 block of Parkway Drive. According to Malinowski, Shipman was still actively serving in the military at the time of the fatal shooting. Malinowski asserted that Shipman was taken to Upstate University Hospital, which is where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. According to him, there were a number of spent round casings found at the scene, as well as two vehicles that had been hit by gunfire.
