The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a guy from Sarasota, Florida, who was forty years old and was strolling down Clark Road on Saturday night was struck by two automobiles and died as a result of his injuries.
At approximately nine minutes before nine o’clock on Saturday evening, the individual was attempting to walk north across all lanes of State Route 72 (Clark Road) in front of oncoming cars.
Two vehicles were approaching the intersection with Swift Road on Clark Road, going west on the right lane. One of the vehicles was following the other vehicle as they approached the intersection. The man was struck by the front of the first vehicle, and his corpse came to rest in the driving lanes of Clark Road. After that, the pedestrian was involved in a collision with the second car, according to the incident report filed by the department. The individual, who was not identified by the department, was struck by the first car, but the report contained no information on what triggered the collision.
On the spot, the fatality of the man was confirmed.
The collision is still being looked at by authorities.
