Shooting in Ogden Utah Today — On Thursday, April 27, 2023, police were called to an incident in North Ogden that featured a house fire. As a result of their response, two individuals were killed and another person was injured. Officers rushed to a home in the area of the 3200 block of Mountain Road after receiving reports of shots fired at approximately 7:14 p.m., as stated by the North Ogden Police Department. When the officers arrived, a guy who did not live at the home emerged and began firing at them. The officers returned fire, which resulted in the man’s death.
Police respond to house fire and shooting
Officers entered the structure while it was on fire and discovered another male who had passed away along with a woman who had injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The three people involved have been identified as a husband, a wife, and a brother; however, it is unknown which man shot at authorities and who was located inside the house.
The husband, the wife, and the brother were all found in the same residence. The property was a total loss, according to the authorities, although the fire was restricted to only one residence. It is anticipated that the investigation into the incident will take several days to complete because detectives need to determine whether or not it is safe to enter the residence after the fire. There were no significant injuries reported among the police personnel.
