After Takeoff, another member of Offset’s band, was fatally shot yesterday in Houston, Texas, Offset has chosen to pay a subdued tribute to his fallen bandmate (1 November). Migos bandmates Quavo and Takeoff were at a private party at a bowling alley when the incident that resulted in the death of Takeoff and the injury of two other people who were not named occurred.

According to YAHOO, Offset has not yet made a public statement about his friend’s passing, however on Wednesday (2 November), the rapper updated his profile photo on Instagram to a picture of Takeoff’s face. TMZ reports that Offset was supposed to have a performance tomorrow at the MGM Music Hall in Boston; however, an employee at the venue informed them that he would not be appearing after all.
Despite the fact that Quavo and Offset have not yet released statements regarding Takeoff’s passing, a large number of people working in the music and entertainment industries have expressed their sadness. On Tuesday night’s episode of The Late Late Show, James Corden talked about some “unforgettable moments” he shared with the late hip-hop artist Quavo, who had been a guest on his popular Carpool Karaoke segment in 2018 together with the other members of Migos. Corden stated, “I was fortunate enough to have some wonderful times with Takeoff over the course of the past few years.”
“He was a wonderful human being; he was always kind and generous. He would always nickname me Big Drip whenever we would see each other, and he was well aware of how much I enjoyed being referred to in that manner.
