Greenwood Park Mall Shooting Investigations – Shoppers at Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana were left devastated and frightened at the sight of multiple armed police officers at the mall Saturday. According to reports, shoppers inside the mall located on 1251 U.S. Hwy 31 N, Greenwood, IN. were freaked out as multiple parents ran around trying to get their kids to safety, kids seen crying and shouting in fear after a number of officers armed with rifle storm the mall in a tactical mood. Law enforcement agencies in Indiana did not immediately disclose what the officers were investigating at the mall.

It has been five months since a shooter opened fire at the Greenwood Park Mall, causing the deaths of three people and injuring two others. On Friday night, there were reports of shots being fired at the mall. There were no reports of any injuries. According to the Facebook page for the Greenwood Police Department, officers in the department responded to a complaint about shots being fired outside of the Dicks Sporting Goods store. They have since indicated that there are no threats in the area.

In July, a mass shooting occurred at the Greenwood Park Mall, but law enforcement officials have not been able to explain why the shooting occurred. At a news conference held on Wednesday, officers of the Greenwood Police Department and the FBI stated that they do not know why the gunman chose to carry out the act, but that they have gained additional information about his background and hobbies.
