“A real one gained his wings today! Quincy Pitts such a great dude who poured everything he knew back into these kids. He loved, honored and respected this great game of baseball, and I loved him like a brother! I wouldn’t wanna go to war without Quincy in my corner. RIP big man “this one’s coming to you!”
Nate Boddie said, “Quincy Pitts I’ve tried to hold off from doing this because I just can’t believe it’s real. These last two dark and gloomy days epitomize how I feel right now. You were the exact opposite, a ray of sunshine with a vibrant smile. From the pep in your step, to the power in your swing, you embodied strength. We spoke almost every day. I would’ve never believed that Saturday would be the last time I’d get to hear you laugh. You were about to make your dreams come true…”
During this awful moment, my heart goes out to the family and friends. Accept my heartfelt condolences. People who are good leave this planet faster than those who are evil. Rest in peace.
