Obituary – M’lle Christine Yeager Has Died, What Happened?

M’lle Christine Yeager, age 59, of Independence, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at her home. A memorial celebration of life visitation will be held at a later date at Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS 67301. Memorial contributions on behalf of the family may be sent to the funeral home.

M’lle Christine Yeager (Nienhuser) was born December 5, 1962 to Gertrude “Trudy” Nienhuser (Workman) and Christian E “Big Nine” Nienhuser. in Temple TX. She grew up and attended school in Dewey Oklahoma. She Graduated in 1981 and attended Tri-County Tech in Bartlesville OK where she studied Nursing and received her LPN license. She worked as a nurse for several years and then worked for City Cab of Tulsa for 25 years.

M’lle was known for her passion for rescuing animals of all species as well as her unfathomable love for people. She loved being outdoors planting flowers and vegetables, working on a project in the yard, or at the lake or pond which ever was closer. On June 30, 2003, M’lle married the love of her life William (Bill) Troy Yeager Jr in Bartlesville Oklahoma.

Together they lived in Bartlesville, Tulsa, Dewey, and everywhere in between. Bill was a truck driver and M’lle really cherished the travels she went on with Bill across the country. She got to see everything from the east coast to the west coast and north to south. Her favorite areas were Wyoming/Colorado area and the beach. She LOVED the beach.

M’lle spent her last months in Independence Kansas with her best friend Kimberly Boyd by her side every day. Family and friends frequently visited her until the last day. She is dearly missed and the legacy she left behind will always be alive with every kind gesture, every turtle moved from the road, every injured animal rescued, and every person giving their last dime to someone in need.

She is preceded in death by her father, Christian Eugene “Big Nine” Nienhuser, and her husband, William “Bill” Troy Yeager, Jr. M’lle is survived by her mother, Gertrude “Trudy” Nienhuser (Workman) of Dewey Oklahoma, her sister Anne Swearingin & husband Jim of Dewey Oklahoma, her brothers Christian E Nienhuser II of Grove Oklahoma and Thaddeus J Nienhuser & wife Michelle of Bartlesville Oklahoma and her best friend/adopted sister Kimberly Kay Boyd of Independence KS. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. The family of M’lle Yeager has entrusted the arrangement of the services to Zach and Dee Webb of the locally-owned Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence.
