Obituary: Joseph Hubbard Has Died At 39, What Happened? Joseph Michael Hubbard, 39, Willey Road, died suddenly Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2022. Born in Syracuse, on April 23, 1982, he was the son of Clinton E. Hubbard Jr. and Margaret Ann Finn (Peggy Bennett). A resident of Poolville for the past ten years, Joe was a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton Central Schools, Class of 2001, and attended Morrisville College. He married Rebecca Schmitt in Hamilton on July 7, 2007.
Joe joined the National Guard and was deployed to active duty twice, once to Iraq and then Afghanistan, and was presently serving with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Joe was employed as an Inspector with the Utica Armory of the Army National Guard. Known as Joe Hubbs, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, four-wheeling, golfing, fishing, playing cards, but most of all his family. Joe was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Canastota Post #600, and the Ride Hard, Ride Free Motorcycle Group.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca; his children, Layla, Eden, Mea, and Isaac; his father and stepmother, Clinton and Marilyn Hubbard, Jr. of Utica; his mother, Margaret Ann Finn (Peggy Bennett) of Canastota; his sister, Jennifer (Jesse) Joslyn of Oneida; his grandmothers, Linda Hubbard and Alice Hannold; aunts and uncles, Margaret (Barry) Raymond, Joseph (Dawn)Hubbard, Paula Pollock, Wendy (Dale) Colona, Maureen (Salvatore) Stagnitti, Mark Finn, Mike Finn, Christine (Tony) Reesh, Colleen (Robert) Seitz; great-aunt and uncle, Shirley (George) Thurston; and many cousins
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 23, 2022, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Very Reverend Steven White, officiating. Interment will take place in Poolville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3-7 PM, Friday. Contributions may be made to the Hubbard Family Fund, in the care of the funeral home.
