John Klemmensen Cause Of Death, Obituary Unavailable Yet – We learned that singer/songwriter John Klemmensen had died, yet there was almost no mention of his death or even that he was sick on Facebook. The tributes to John, his music, and his friendship didn’t start pouring in until late last night.
According to lazy-i.com, “He was a massive man with a lovely, high voice that belied his stature. I met him at a gig about a month ago, and he told me he was working on new music, which he was pleased about, and I was as well.
His 2015 album, Landing on the Moon, with his band The Party, was a professional high point for a man who had been in the music industry for more than two decades, beginning with rock band Reset and ending with his role in Landing on the Moon.
I last saw him perform live in July 2018 at O’Leaver’s with the Candy Boys (Vern Fergesen on bass and Daniel Dean Leonard on drums), during a concert that alternated between Motown-flavored pop and Black Sheets of Rain-era Bob Mould rock. The topic may be grim, and it often was, but John was always upbeat and hilarious, and it was always a pleasure to hang around with him during gigs.”
We offer you our thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes during this dark time in your life. May God’s blessings and consolation be upon you and your family. Accept our heartfelt sympathy.
