Jada Govan’s relatives told WFAA that she was discovered dead in her car near where her cellphone was last pinged. The family was told of the finding Thursday evening by police.
The 20-year-old was last seen at The Residence at Arbor Grove in Arlington, where she shared an apartment with her mother, on Sunday, April 10.
According to wfaa.com, Her family claimed she went out for breakfast early in the morning, returned home, and then departed with only her phone.
Her family wonders if she ran across anyone in the complex’s parking lot. Unfortunately, because the cameras were not working, there is no surveillance footage.
Jada Govan’s phone was last detected by a cell tower at Park Row and Center, where she was discovered dead.
The circumstances of her demise were not immediately revealed. According to the police, there is no evidence of wrongdoing.
A Search One Rescue Team scoured a nearby wooded area with cadaver hounds but came up empty-handed. Her phone’s location feature had been disabled, according to her family.
According to Govan’s family, she was introverted and kept to herself. She wasn’t much on social media, according to her relatives, and she wouldn’t have gone anywhere without first informing her mother.
