Mary Ann Allen wrote on Facebook; “Hello all. We (Mary Ann’s daughters) are writing this on her behalf. Mary Ann passed away peacefully last night after a courageous battle against cancer. While we are heartbroken, we are going to “choose happy,” as she would want us to, by focusing on the lifetime of joy we shared with her, and the lasting impact her legacy will have on the lives of all those she touched. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes during this incredibly challenging time. In lieu of flowers and for those wishing to remember our mom in a meaningful way, please send donations to Wildwood Foundation, 1190 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, NY, 12110.”
