Dave Shaw Cause Of Death, Obituary – David Clark Shaw, 68, of Ocean Pines, MD; passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, at his mother’s home in Landrum, SC. Dave was born on January 4, 1954, in Altoona, PA. He was the son of Joyce E. (Snyder) Shaw, and the late Arden B. Shaw. He was the first-born child of four children.
His beloved wife of 42 years, Robin M. (Buettner) Shaw predeceased him in 2019. Besides his mother, Dave is survived by his children, Tracey L. Barnhart and husband Joe, Matthew K. Shaw, Emily N. Roys, and husband Robert. Brother, Todd A. Shaw, and Sister Kathleen M. Caughey. He is also predeceased by Brother, Bruce E. Shaw. Grandchildren, Joseph W. Barnhart III, Michael L. Barnhart, and Angelina C. Roys. Great Grandchildren, Chase J. Barnhart and Olivia R. Barnhart.
Dave is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He also leaves behind his best friend Mike Borkoski. Dave started his career at C&P Telephone Co. (Verizon) and made a career as a Technology Engineer working with various government agencies. He retired from Worcester County Public Schools Central Office in 2019.
Dave loved collecting Trains, boating, and the beach, especially in Ocean City, MD. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. For those who knew Dave especially well “The Dude Abides.” Interment services are private and will be followed by a celebration of his life at a later date.
