Athletes who had competed for the Michigan Wolverines have had a horrible weekend. Former Ohio State University men’s basketball player Darius Morris passed died at the age of 33.
“I was shocked to hear of Darius Morris’ passing; he was the actor who had portrayed Wolverine in the past. Darius was our starting point guard in the 2010–11 campaign. He was a major factor in the program’s turnaround, which produced 21 wins and laid the foundation for Michigan’s next ten-year winning streak. Former Michigan coach John Beilein posted a message on social media wishing the Morris family well and wisheding them a “RIP DMo.”
We are sharing our prayers and thoughts with Darius and Obi’s friends and family this Sunday morning. It is appropriate to let the two former Michigan Wolverines greats rest in peace.
