Northlake Mall shooting – According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, shots were fired outside of the Macy’s store located inside the Northlake Mall in north Charlotte on Tuesday night. There were no reports of any injuries. According to the police, bullets were fired after a confrontation that occurred outside of the mall became more intense. According to the CMPD, nobody was injured by the shooting that occurred. On Tuesdays, Northlake Mall is scheduled to close at 8 o’clock in the evening. The CMPD could not provide any information on the time that bullets were fired.

Previously in the month of February, the Chicago Metropolitan Police Department conducted an investigation into another incident that took place at Northlake Mall. During the course of that altercation between two individuals, a single shot was discharged by a firearm. Although there were two people sent to the hospital with injuries unrelated to the gunshot, nobody was hurt in either of those shootings.

After a disagreement between two individuals, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department stated on Sunday that it seemed that one shot was fired inside the mall in front of the DTLR shoe store. Sunday afternoon around two o’clock, police from the CMPD arrived at the mall. According to the officials, nobody was shot. According to Medic, two people were assessed for medical conditions unrelated to the gunshots that were fired. After the event, Northlake Mall remained closed for the remainder of Sunday and was scheduled to reopen according to its regular hours on Monday.
