North Haven motorcycle accident – According to the North Haven Police Department, a tragic accident involving a collision between a small SUV and a motorcycle, claimed the life of one person. The accident happened on Saturday evening, 30th of July 2022. The police said the operator of the motorcycle, resident of Wallingford, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) is a 1,541-bed hospital located in New Haven, Connecticut. It is owned and operated by the Yale New Haven Health System. YNHH includes the 168-bed Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven, the 201-bed Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, and the 76-bed Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, making it one of the largest hospitals in the world and the largest in Connecticut. It is the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Nursing.

The North Haven Police Department were called to the scene. Reports states that the South Central Accident Reconstruction team also responded to the scene to take over the investigation. This team is comprised of officer from North Haven, North BrNford, East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison.

Any witnesses are asked to call 203-239-5321. This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be made as information is available.

In a Facebook post, police said officers responded Saturday evening “to a crash involving a collision between a small SUV and a motorcycle.”

The North Haven Police Department informed the public about the accident on Facebook; “This evening we responded to a crash involving a collision between a small suv and a motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle, resident of Wallingford, was transported to YNHH with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The South Central Accident Reconstruction team has responded to the scene to take over the investigation. This team is comprised of officer from North Haven, North BrNford, East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison. Any witnesses are asked to call 203-239-5321.”
