Death: A tractor-trailer driver was killed in an automobile collision in Cumberland County – A tractor-trailer hit a vehicle on US 11 late Thursday morning in Cumberland County, killing an 18-year-old Newville man, according to State Police. Noah Blessing of Newville was driving north on Stoughstown Road, approaching the intersection of Stoughtstown Road and Ritner Highway, according to State Police.
According to abc27.com, A tractor-trailer was approaching the intersection eastbound on Ritner Highway at the same time. State Police say the car “failed to come to a complete stop and failed to field” when the tractor-trailer was pulling out of the intersection.
The car collided with the tractor-side, trailer’s driver’s causing it to spin. The tractor-trailer began to brake and veered off the road to the left, where it collided with a wall. The car kept spinning until it became stuck between the trailer and the stone wall, where it came to a halt.
