Nicole Pelton, A teacher At Ross Middle School, Died in An accident: The woman who lost her life in a wrong-way collision on Sunday night in West Chester worked as a teacher at Ross Middle School, Nicole Pelton, 52, and her spouse Patrick Pelton were two of the three fatalities in the crash on Sunday. Nicole spent 22 years as a teacher at Ross Middle School, according to the Ross Local School District.
“Mrs. Pelton was more than simply a teacher; she was a ray of sunshine in our school, passionate about spreading her enthusiasm for science. Her colleagues talked on how she had a special gift for bringing their enthusiasm for science into her classes and how she always made learning enjoyable in her classroom. Her passion for teaching ignited her pupils’ interest and excitement, making a lasting influence on their academic path. In an email to district families, it was stated that “her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by students, colleagues, and community members alike.” Tuesday is conference exchange day, so district schools are closed. However, the middle school will be open from 12 to 2 p.m. with counselors on hand to assist staff and kids. Traffic was halted for hours as an investigation was conducted following the collision on Sunday night at around 6 p.m. on Cox Road close to Service Center Drive.
Gregory Meyer, 65, of Middletown, was identified as the other fatality in the collision by the Butler County Coroner’s Office on Monday night. Meyer was driving the wrong way before the collision, according to the police.
